Today was a day of exploration for Cheggy and I, with us heading to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. A area of Colorado where sand has accumulated for millions of years through wind and water erosion. It was an amazing site to have sand dunes and then mountains in the background within elevations as high at 14,000 + feet. The park wasn't very big with only one paved road leading to the sand dunes, but after further exploration we found a more "adventurous" route. A road marked for "High Clearance 4WD Vehicles Only" was located off the main road, and of course we just couldn't resist! After about 3 hours and a few white-knuckle experiences we had successfully completed a off-road excursion in Colorado! After the intense experience of the trail we decided to relax and cruise some dirt roads through the surrounding ranch lands. A quick detour we discovered on the way back to camp called Zapata Falls Recreation Area, proved to be one of the best sights of the day. At the top of a 1/2 mile rocky trail we hiked was a 30 foot waterfall coming from the side of the mountain. With about 40 degree water it was refreshing way to end the day! We're headed north to the outskirts of Denver tomorrow and will keep every updated

The only thing I don't miss about you is seeing you in those boots with shorts. But I love you anyway. And you too Cheggy.
