A Day in Vicksburg....

Our travels started with a trip to the Riverfront Park where we drove along the river and explored the banks of the mighty Mississippi River. From the park we decided to check out the riverboat casino action. We went to the Horizon Casino and to say the least the riverboat casino party crowd at 10:30 AM on a Wednesday morning on the Mississippi banks is pretty incest! After a brief stint with the slots we decided to be more intellectual and visit Vicksburg National Military Park. Upon our arrival to the park we experienced an encounter with Ranger Roundface Snickersbreath Shawquita! She totally made our day and was adamant that we didn't take a picture of her. Potts snuck a picture of her anyways and she got pretty fired up, but we had to have one for our blog audience to experience her in all of her glamour! The trip thru the park was pretty interesting and we learned a great deal about the significance of the Union siege of Vicksburg during the Civil War. After the park we headed back to the camper to rest up and plan the routing of our future travels. This afternoon we decided to take a trip thru the Mississippi delta and stumbled upon Mahannah Wildlife Management Area. We rode dirt roads searching for signs of wildlife until dark and then headed back to headquarters for some grub and R&R. Tomorrow we are up early and headed to Fort Worth, TX to visit my brother and his family.
